Brighton have signed striker Danny Welbeck on a one-year contract.

The 29-year-old has joined the Premier League membership after he terminated his take care of Watford by mutual consent earlier this month.

His contract with the Hornets had a £5.5m launch clause in-built and was resulting from expire subsequent summer time, however he has now joined Brighton as a free agent and must be accessible for subsequent Monday’s conflict with West Brom on the Amex.

“We’re delighted to have Danny becoming a member of us. He’ll complement our present putting choices,” Graham Potter advised the membership’s web site.

“He is bought an undoubted pedigree, and he’s fast and technically excellent. He’ll add to our attacking menace and we’re thrilled so as to add one other participant of his expertise and high quality.”

The previous Manchester United and Arsenal ahead, who will put on the No 18 shirt for his new facet, has received 42 caps for England and scored 16 occasions for his nation.
